Erm...just like the title above, today (22/5) is my first day of science amali.....and all together we (me, darren & ericson) did 3 experiments ~

Err....the first one is about compound and mixture. Using iron fillings & sulphur powder (the iron filling really is heavy...) we put them into a petri dish then mix lo.....becum mixture. Then teacher Agnes teach us to use carbon disulphide(dunno got spell wrong or not) to separate the mixture...kinda dissolve the sulphur. Teacher Agnes also told us to use hydrochloric acid....dissolve the iron......and what I can tell u is : it smells horrible! Nearly muntah oledi. Like a rotten egg that smelly....haiz.....Of course we also got use the magnet.....to suck the iron...Haha. I very happy. Cuz got 2 magnet. Darren took 1 and he start to attract the iron lo....I get the other one and also start sucking......waisey...my magnet suck all his iron leh...haha.......he then tidak puas hati.......haha.....

The 2nd one is to calculate density. The teacher gave us a lever balance, a measuring cylinder and also 10 marbles. So we do it ourselves lo......we use the balance to calculate the mass ~ 56g (cant believe that I can remember that), then we roll them slowly into the cylinder to find out the volume of 10 marbles ~ 20ml (....len..) so after that we divide it lo ...get the density of 1 marble. Wakao.....so easy.....haha......actually not the easiest....the one below is even easier. Take a look....

.....this one is teacher do...we look nia.......diffusion in liquid. Teacher put a copper smt smt crystal into distilled water. Shake...shake....finish. Fast, right?? Oni after a few min, the liquid from transparent becum blue in colour. Pretty le....haha......

Extra notes ~

So we tml still hav another practise.....haiz.....10.30am......the first one will be on the photosynthesis one......proof that the leaves hav chlorophyll. Wakao. At least I oledi read a bit on it........well, wish me good luck! Haha. Juz kidding.
